Is the Forklift Training valid in the USA?

Our Forklift Certification training is valid throughout the USA and Canada or any other country that uses OSHA to govern safety training. The Forklift Certification meets all the OSHA requirements for the Powered Industrial Truck ( Forklift). The Forklift Certification needs to be renewed every 3 years. If an employee is involved in a Forklift accident the employee MUST complete a refresher course of the training.

Yes! Our forklift certification online training is OSHA compliant and is valid for 3 years. Some companies are offering a Forklift Certification for 1 year and they charge less money. That’s illegal! By law the Forklift Certification is valid for 3 years, so our Forklift Certification training is valid for 3 years.

Do I need to have experience operating a Forklift to obtain my License?

Unfortunately, you cannot complete the online training if you have never driven a forklift. Please remember this training focuses on the safety rules and regulations required by OSHA and does not teach you how to operate this piece of equipment. If you have experience and know how to drive a forklift, this is the training for you. For people lacking experience operating a Forklift, we recommend looking for a local Forklift Rental place where you can practice the hands-on portion. Then you can complete the online Forklift Certification with us.

If you live in the greater Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, or Houston area you can attend one of our beginner forklift operator courses at our Training facility. Should my employer be responsible to give me the Forklift License?

Yes. The responsibility of the employer is to provide a safe environment for their employees. Therefore, the employer should provide you with this training. Unfortunately, because of the condition of the economy, many companies are not providing training to their employees in order to cut expenses.

What is the Wallet Card?

Accepted Answer

One of the most important documents for you to show to your employer or future employer is the wallet card with your name on it. By carrying your wallet card, you are showing to your employer or future employer that you completed the forklift certification training and that you are meeting OSHA regulations. Also, the training includes several documents and forms you need to print and present to your employer or future employer.

I need my Forklift License today !!

If you need to have proof that you’ve completed your certification training right away, you will have the option to print your own certificate of achievement. The certificate can be used as a temporary document while you are waiting for your wallet card. The Forklift CertificationWallet Card will arrive at your address within 3 to 4 days after completion of the Forklift Certification.

I already have experience operating a Forklift, where can I obtain my Forklift License?

If you have some experience driving a forklift you don’t need to go to a classroom to complete the certification; everything is completed online. Forklift Academy provides all the training that OSHA requires for you to be in compliance with the law. The training is an easy to follow step-by-step process, and at the end you will be prompted to take the test online. Once completed we will send you the wallet card with your name on it. The wallet card is valid for 3 years. Remember that your employer or future employer is responsible for testing your capabilities and verifying your experience operating a forklift. In the training you will access a document designed to be completed by the employer. If you are not currently working, you will take this document with you when you get a job. Let your employer know you desire to have a forklift certification and become a licensed forklift operator. If you are brand new to operating a forklift and you live in the greater LA area, you might consider attending our beginners class.

What is included on the Forklift License?

The forklift certification that Forklift Academy offers, includes not only a test but several other documents. The certification includes a power point presentation, permit to operate documentation, safety operating rules, inspection sheet, a movie and the test.

I do have a bad driving record. Can I still obtain my Forklift License?

There is no restriction to obtaining your forklift certification while having a bad driving record. The forklift certification is an overall regulatory safety training for operating a forklift.

How long it will take to get my Forklift License?

After you complete the training, it will take approximately 3 to 4 business days for you to receive the wallet card. If you need your certification sooner you will have the option to print your own certificate of achievement. The wallet card is OSHA compliant, and is valid for 3 years.

The best solution for you is to purchase the Train the Trainer Kit. The KIT will allow to certify your employees. The Train-the-Trainer Kit includes all materials (Attendance sheet, inspection sheet, wallet cards, certificate of achievements, test, etc) for your company to be OSHA compliant.

If you are an individual, we offer a self-paced, online training program through our sister site, forkliftacademy.com. If you have only a few employees that need training, we offer several small group packages there as well. The Train the Trainer Kit is also a good choice for smaller groups since it allows you the flexibility to grow. With the ability to certify your employees, if you have new hires you already will have everything you need to complete their training, evaluation and certification without hassle.

Yes, the certification expires three years from the date of the prior evaluation. Once the employee is certified, the employer must re-evaluate the employee in the workplace every three years.
