OSHA regulations require that all operators of Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts) undergo proper training and certification to ensure safety and prevent accidents. With around 200-250 forklift-related fatalities each year, Forklift Academy provides comprehensive and affordable certification training designed to meet OSHA standards across the U.S.
This training is ideal for beginner forklift operators and combines interactive classroom instruction with hands-on training on equipment. Throughout the course, students will gain practical experience with various types of forklifts, including sit-down, rough terrain, and electric pallet jacks. The curriculum also covers essential safety procedures such as equipment controls, load handling, pedestrian safety, and stability.
The class lasts approximately 3-4 hours and includes:
- Hands-on evaluation with forklifts and electric pallet jacks to ensure safe and competent operation.
- OSHA-approved Picture ID certification card, valid for 3 years.
- A custom Operator ID Card and Certificate of Achievement for completing the course.
